Life is good down on the bayou. The morning fog split over the Mississippi with the sun in chaotic bursts. Our shadow test and the edge of cloud effect got us running back to the rig to get cookin'.

I’m not eating fruit, but Emily queue up some crepes and cooked fruit is totally fair game. I also had a nice taste of Cajun food thanks to a midday gumbo.

To finish the day we set the GoSun Grill in the sun and set out for a couple hours paddling. In our hurry, we didn’t read the cardinal directions enough and the Grill only got an hour of good light; not enough to fully cook the meats (chicken, sausage and bacon, aka armadillo eggs).

In a difficult pinch, I decided to fire up the propane stove and finish the dinner instead of going hangry.

Maybe I should not mess with meats, especially if there’s concern on sunlight or timing. Maybe I’m still a bit nervous and trying to do too much. Maybe I should do more and get the electric hybrid working.

This looks like a lot of fun. I love the realism. Sometimes, you need a back-up plan.
